Job Summary:
We are hiring an experienced L2 Application Support Analyst to work on behalf of our client in the Finance/Banking domain. The ideal candidate will be technically strong, analytically sharp, and an excellent communicator, capable of handling application support, incident/problem management, and continuous improvement initiatives within a high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and break down complex issues; develop optimal solutions considering multiple stakeholder impacts.
Build cause-effect linkages and validate hypotheses to address long-term technical and business problems.
Understand client needs, integrate feedback, and ensure timely and quality service delivery.
Anticipate challenges, resolve critical issues proactively, and build trust with key stakeholders.
Prioritize tasks effectively, plan using historical trends, and manage risks through contingency planning.
Coordinate execution across projects/processes; identify key drivers and constraints.
Utilize ServiceNow for incident tracking, problem management, and change requests as per ITIL standards.
Apply knowledge management, release planning, and issue resolution tools to maintain system stability.
Conduct in-depth impact analysis and process mapping to identify system or service improvements.
Communicate clearly in English – both verbally and in writing – and adjust messaging as per the audience.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Operating Systems: Unix/Linux
  • Database: Oracle PL/SQL
  • Scripting: Shell Scripting
  • Job Scheduling: Autosys
  • Monitoring & Automation: Batch Monitoring Tools, Automation Tools
  • Ticketing Tool: ServiceNow
  • ITIL Framework: Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills

Must-Have Qualifications:

  1. Hands-on experience in L2 Application Support
  2. Strong technical proficiency in Unix, Oracle PL/SQL, and Shell Scripting
  3. Experience using ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms
  4. Familiarity with ITIL processes (Certification preferred)

Preferred / Good to Have:

  1. Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
  2. Experience using Splunk, AppDynamics, or other monitoring tools
  3. Familiarity with Azure Cloud, DevOps, and Agile methodologies
  4. Basic knowledge of Java, Informatica, and other enterprise tools
