Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership in industry and to fellow members across business and technical project dimensions solving business requirements.
- Developing and implementing an overall data strategy that is in line with Organizational strategy and business process.
- Demonstrate knowledge of cloud-based data platform architecture and implementation features (SaaS, Data virtualization, Data Pipelines, Hybrid integrations)
- Collaborating with cross functional teams, business stake holders and vendors for the successful delivery of Central Data Platform.
- Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, and production deployment
- Identifying data sources, both internal and external, and working out a plan for data management that is aligned with organizational data strategy.
- Defining and managing the flow of data, pipelines, and dissemination of information within the organization
- Integrating technical functionality, ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security.
- Ensure delivered solutions are realized in time frame committed; work in conjunction with project sponsors to size and manage scope and risk
- Define Data Pipeline, Data Modeling and Data Consumption strategy along with Financial Risk & Compliance team to meet the Compliance reporting requirements.
Skills Required
- Design Technical Strategies and roadmaps for Data Integration (On-Premises + Cloud), Data Lakehouse, Analytics Reporting & Data Science.
- Knowledge and experience on Data Engineering tools like Databricks
- Proficiency in two or more programming languages Python, Java, JavaScript, XQuery, Scala
- Design data governance frameworks by outlining the aims and objectives for Data Security, Data Quality, Data Cataloging, Metadata Management, Master Data Management, etc.
- Lead proof of concepts and development of evaluation matrix through final recommendation, including hands-on execution where needed.
- Proficiency in data modeling and design, including SQL based development and database administration
- Working Experience in Columnar and/or NoSQL databases & Data Visualization tools
- Experience in MarkLogic, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory and Power BI is an added advantage.
- Building highly dynamic data Model supporting financial Regulation changes from FINMA, SFDR, MiFID II etc.
Basic Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, system analysis or a related study
- 20+ Years of IT experience spanning in at least two Disciplines, including technical architecture, application development, middleware, database management or operations, data architecting, Cloud Solutioning
- Certifications in Cloud and NoSQL database technologies
- Experience in Cloud based data platform solution implementation. Azure/AWS Preferred
- Knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes
- Experience working in Financial/Insurance domain preferred
- Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments
- Strong understanding of data architecture and application development methodologies
- Exposure to agile methodology and process of Software Development
- Minimum proficiency in German language with certification (A2 Level)
