Swiss Himmel GmbH is seeking an experienced Environment Management Specialist/Application Administrator to join our team in Basel. This role is critical due to data restrictions and requires a seasoned professional with at least 15 years of Oracle application administration experience, particularly in PeopleSoft and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in hybrid cloud environments, data migration, and Agile methodologies, with the ability to manage and support complex HR applications across multiple regions.
Experience Required:
• Minimum 15 years of Oracle application administration experience
• Peoplesoft application and tools upgrade experience is must
• Hybrid cloud experience with on-premise cloud administration in a custom built environment
• Oracle cloud infrastructure knowledge for a migration from on-premise to cloud infrastructure
• Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) support (Oracle cloud certification preferred)
• Demonstrated expertise in Agile methodologies with hands-on experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Odyssey.
• Peoplesoft PUM experience is required to upgrade PeopleSoft payroll module.
• Data migration experience from on-premises to cloud applications
• Data archival experience from different database to Mainframe archive module
• Well-versed knowledge on Linux server, windows server administration
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with teams across USA, Europe, and Asia in an onsite-offshore support model
• Manage change and release management processes until production deployment
• Handle data archival and transformation for different applications for ex, Java, .net and PeopleSoft application
• Provide production support, environment management, and testing services for multiple application
• Manage environment and release for Swiss-based applications, including Peoplesoft tools upgrades, server upgrades and database upgrades
• Support HR applications in APAC and EMEA time zones and play a key role in implementing DevOps adoption
• Work closely with different HR functions to improve employee experience through a modernized workplace environment, with modernized authentication, updated collaboration tools and the delivery of strategic digital HR transformation, Procurement & Business Records Management systems.
Specific Oracle Applications Knowledge:
• Oracle PeopleSoft: Environment management, upgrades, and support for HR and other business functions.
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI): Management and administration of cloud resources, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC): Integration of various applications and services, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.
• Oracle Database: Administration, performance tuning, backup, and recovery operations.
Support other Applications:
Java/.net application support: Provide support for in house built Java/.net applications on customer platform from environment setup, server upgrades and database upgrades.
Production support: Provide production support for various in-house built application accessing sensitive prod data.
Skills and Abilities:
• Strong English communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team during critical prod issues
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to suggest solutions to HR Business with modern technologies
• Effective collaboration with Production support, Testing team, and Development teams
