About the Role
Swiss Himmel GmbH is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong background in the telecom industry to lead large-scale IT and network projects in Basel, Switzerland. This role requires an individual who can bridge product vision with delivery, ensuring complex transformation initiatives are executed within scope, budget, and timeline. You will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and key stakeholders to drive technology transformation and end-to-end system integration projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for IT initiatives, ensuring timely delivery within agreed scope and budget.
- Drive large-scale IT and Network projects within the Swiss telecom sector, coordinating with global IT service providers and OSS/BSS systems.
- Act as the central liaison between stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Oversee and support technology transformation projects covering order orchestration, provisioning, inventory management, and billing.
- Manage telecom architecture expertise including BSS (Amdocs Clarify Smart Client, Zira), OSS (Nokia Flowone), and Billing (Kenan Arbor).
- Support projects in telecom fixnet (Copper, Fiber – Gbit, XGS) technologies and mobile order provisioning.
- Apply appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, SAFe) and tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, and Octane.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, providing proactive solutions to maintain project momentum.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of IT project management experience within the telecom industry.
- Extensive track record managing complex, large-scale IT and network transformation projects in Switzerland.
- Certified SAFe Agile practitioner with proven delivery in agile environments.
- Strong understanding of OSS/BSS systems, provisioning, inventory management, and billing processes.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, HERMES, or equivalent project management certification.
- Additional telecom-related certifications (TOGAF, TM Forum, ITIL).
- Proficiency in German is highly desirable.
